Welcome to Renaissance Herbs

No garden is complete without a few herbs. They can be used to make cosmetics, add flavour and 'oomph' to food, herbal remedies, make heart warming herbal teas, some are excellent companion plants and others bring fragrant delights in the garden.

To a botanist, a herb is a plant that does not have a woody stem. That is, a plant that is not a tree or shrub. Whether you can eat it or not is irrelevant. Gardeners have a different classification. To them, a herb is a plant that can be added to food or used for household or medicinal purposes, even if the plant in question is actually a tree, for example a bay tree, or a shrub, such as rosemary.

We hope you enjoy the range and variety of herbs we are able to provide. Our herbs are many and varied from kitchen essentials like parsley, mint, rosemary and thyme to the more unusual chocolate mint, rue, bergamot, brahmi and arthritis herb.

Whatever your 'thing' there will be a Renaissance herb for you!
